Despite minor reduction in hours CSL Library is number one on island of Montreal

Andy Riga of The Montrealk Gazette has a story and  table in the January 22, 2016 edition showing that based on the number of hours open per week, CSL is the number one  library on the island — even with our new hours. Riga awards it the "Best place for book-lovers on Montreal Island."

  1. We have a great library and a super staff. The hour reduction is not so bad and I think all Cote St.Luc citizens are taxed to the hilt so if expenses can be reduced by less paid -for service, then so be it. Perhaps the quantity of book purchases and magazine subscriptions could be looked at as well via a borrowing/usage study over the next two years………just a suggestion………
(By the way together with my daughter and grandchildren we are active borrowers and participate in some of the programs as well )
