Station des Sports: The Ultimate Game-Day Destination
With the NHL, NFL, and CFL seasons in full swing, the seven Station des Sports restaurant locations are the perfect spots to enjoy a meal with friends while watching the day’s games. Restaurateur and businessman Peter Sergakis owns the chain, which includes locations in the West Island, Île-Perrot, Laval, Saint-Leonard, two downtown, and two in Brossard on the South Shore.
Each Station des Sports features multiple flat-screen TVs, delicious finger foods, full-course meals, and a wide selection of beer and cocktails. At the Île-Perrot branch, manager Costa Soilis—who began as a chef before taking over as manager six years ago—ensures every guest leaves happy. During the pandemic, he kept operations running through take-out and delivery, and now he’s overseeing a successful return to in-person dining. Although the terrasse season has ended, their 90-seat patio remains a popular feature in warmer months.

Costa and longtime server Sophie, who has been with the team since opening (in between welcoming three children), explained how staff now double as vaccine passport checkers. Despite these challenges, the atmosphere remains upbeat, and the menu offers something for everyone—appetizers, poutines, burgers, sandwiches, pastas, pizzas, steak, ribs, brochettes, chicken, salmon, and desserts.
I started my meal with six crispy cheese sticks before moving on to the AAA 14-ounce rib steak, perfectly cooked medium, served with pepper sauce, mushrooms, and fries. It was tender and flavorful—highly recommended. My dining companion enjoyed the hamburger steak, topped with sautéed onions and homemade gravy, accompanied by mashed potatoes and vegetables. For dessert, I brought home a decadent slice of sugar pie that made the perfect next-day treat.
Some Station des Sports locations also serve breakfast. For menus and locations, visit www.stationdessports.com.
