Update on the pathway at Rembrandt Park

For many years we have experienced drainage issues with the pathway to Rembrandt Park on the turn of Merrimac. Public Works has attempted a variety of methods to remedy the problem, but none have been successful. They did repave  the pathway  a few feet away with success.

It was recently decided that the pavement will be replaced with grass.

Public Works hopes to remove the pavé by the end of this week. The ground will then be levelled and the sod laid.  That will take two to three weeks. The crazy weather we have experienced in recent months have forced numerous delays. In the meantime, the entry and exit ways have been blocked.

Path
