Bureau En Gros Leaving Cavendish Mall?

All of those "clearance sale" signs at the Bureau en Gros at Cavendish Mall are not good news for shoppers. It appears that my worst fears have been realized and the store will be closing. I cannot tell you how convenient I found Bureau en Gros to be. La Source at Circuit City (formerly Radio Shack) closed last year and over at the Côte Saint-Luc Shopping Centre Rona Hardware shutdown. So there goes the "only" three stores in the community that sells eletronics. Bureau en Gros represented the ultimate convenience for office supplies and electronics. Word has it that Pharmaprix will assume its spot.

  1. Yes, that will be too bad…it was handy to head up Cavendish from NDG if ran out of something at the office. Otherwise, to go to Angrignon is too out of the way and a circuitous routing often clogged with trucks that don’t know their way around the city. Purchases will now be made from their catalogue or their Kirkland store.

  2. That is not a good thing. That store serves a real need and it always packed during the back to school time. There are at least two office buildings very close by too. And it is a go-to place for some electronics. I guess we’ll have to go to Angrignon or the Wal-Mart on Decarie.

  3. Don’t try so hard, the best things come when you least expect them to. But you must do one thing by undivided attention, then you will achieve more much.
