Valet parking debuts at yes – the Quartier Cavendish (Mall)

The newly christened Quartier Cavendish, formerly the Cavendish Mall, is introducing valet parking.

Mall Manager David Silberman confirms that the service will be available Wednesday and Thursdays from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. and Fridays from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.  Drop off will be along The Avenue, the new street which doubles as the entrance to the Quartier directly across from City Hall on Cavendish Boulevard.

Upon dropping off their cars, visitors will pay $7 and receive a flyer letting them know which stores are participating a promotion which will enable them to earn some of that money back. For instance, if you spend $50 at Chelsea you will get a $3 credit.    The maximum credit per day is  $7, equaling the valet price. You can see a full list of participating merchants  here at the Quartier website.
Why is this necessary? Well for one thing, with the new housing development available parking spots have virtually been cut in half. For seniors in particular, the walk to one of the entrances could be rather long. It will interesting to see how this works out and whether more days will be added.
