Côte Saint-Luc City Council has approved a lease between with Les Cours Marc Chagall Inc., granting the developers of the planned 21 unit town house complex on Marc Chagall Avenue the right to lease, occupy, use, and build a temporary road on strip of land which will allow them access the project for their construction work.
The term is effective October 1, 2011 and expires on June 30, 2012 (unless we agree to different dates) in exchange for rent of $500 a month plus taxes. The developer must put up a $15,000 damage deposit and restore the property to its previous condition upon expiry of the lease.
I am hopeful that the developers will be successful in selling enough units in the coming weeks so they can break ground before the winter.
